Safe, sustainable, and ethically sourced, Eos storage systems are an equitable solution for accelerating the shift to clean energy.

We create ingenious products and processes that minimize our environmental impact.

By design, our Znyth battery technology requires just five simple-to-source, widely-used commodities that are not only earth-abundant but also fully recyclable in standard recovery centers. And unlike lithium ion, our energy storage solutions do not require significant cooling systems to run and have a lifespan of 20+ years, almost twice that of most conventional battery chemistries.

As a result of our commitment to environmental management, a study by the firm Boundless Impact Research & Analysis gave us an overall 9.5 out of 10 Climate Impact Score. The study found  significant environmental advantages of our technology relative to lithium-ion batteries, including:

  • 84% lower greenhouse gas (GHG) footprint
  • 2x faster carbon payback
  • 71% less water is required for material extraction and production
  • 55% less energy intensity

As we’ve built out and continue to scale our production facilities, we’re taking an equally environmentally-conscious approach to the manufacturing of our solutions, continually honing our processes to minimize waste, energy intensity, water demand, and climate impacts.

We build positive relationships with our people, partners, customers—and the communities around us.

We recognize our impact on the world isn’t limited to our products—we also have a responsibility to the individuals, organizations, and communities that support our organization. Motivated by our mission, we seek to foster a diverse, inclusive workforce and locate our facilities in former industrial communities, opening up opportunities for next-generation, “green collar” careers.

We also have a commitment to the social responsibility of our value chain. We work to create local supply chains that support a regional ecosystem of American manufacturing businesses and communities. And to build affordable, “turnkey” solutions that would enable underserved communities to more equitably participate in the transition to clean energy.

We lead with integrity and strive for transparency within our organization and throughout the industry.

We are committed to operating responsibly and maintaining the highest standards for ethical business practices and transparency. We maintain a number of formal policies that are reviewed and updated frequently by our Board of Directors and are governed by our executive team. Our policies cover numerous dimensions of ESG governance, including business ethics, safety, supplier conduct, cybersecurity, and environmental oversight. We train our employees annually on our policies and procedures to ensure our actions are aligned with our policy requirements. We also work to foster a workplace where employees are empowered to report instances where practices deviate from our policy requirements. We comply with all relevant regulations and are working with our partners to support an industry that is just, trustworthy, equitable, and sustainable.
