Joe Mastrangelo
Joe Mastrangelo
After serving as Board Advisor for the company, Joe Mastrangelo was named CEO of Eos in July of 2019. With nearly 30 years of energy industry experience, Joe draws on extensive knowledge and insight gained leading diverse teams in developing and deploying commercial-scale energy projects around the world. Before joining Eos, Joe served as CEO of GE’s Power Conversion business, and prior to that was president and CEO of Gas Power Systems for GE Power, a global business of more than 15,000 employees in 60+ countries. Originally from New York, Joe earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Clarkson University and an Associate of Science, Business Administration and Management from Westchester Community College. Leveraging his background and keen understanding of the global energy landscape, Joe’s vision for a battery-powered future keeps Eos at the forefront of the transition to clean energy.

Nathan Kroeker
Nathan Kroeker
Bringing over 25 years of finance and energy industry experience to the organization, Nathan Kroeker was named CFO of Eos in January of 2023. Having held financial leadership roles with several energy firms during his career, Nathan has a keen awareness of how the energy sector has evolved over the last decade, and he understands the challenges that lie ahead. Prior to joining Eos, Nathan served as Chief Financial Officer of Spark Energy before taking over as Chief Executive Officer in 2014 when he led the company’s IPO—the first independent retail energy company to successfully IPO on the NASDAQ. Nathan earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Manitoba where he graduated with distinction. He believes in the fundamental role of energy storage in the global energy transition, and his business acumen is a key asset in maintaining Eos’ leadership momentum as we shift into a new era of electrification.
Melissa Berube
Melissa Berube
Bringing diverse expertise in legal risk management, corporate governance, compliance, and process improvement, Melissa Berube joined Eos as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in June 2021. Drawing on her law firm and in-house experience, Melissa ensures all aspects of Eos operations remain compliant in a fast-paced environment. Prior to joining Eos, she was an associate with the law firm of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt in Portland, Oregon before moving in-house to Erickson Incorporated, where she advanced to General Counsel and Senior VP of Legal & People and guided the global aerial services provider and aerospace OEM through its successful chapter 11 reorganization, restructure and post-emergence. She received her law degree from the University of Washington in Seattle and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Portland. She is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association. Melissa’s legal expertise is critical to enabling Eos to remain dynamic in a rapidly developing industry.
Roma Desai
Roma Desai
A passionate global HR executive with over 20 years of experience at organizations of all sizes, Roma Desai joined Eos as Chief People Officer in May 2022. Her unique and varied background gives Roma the knowledge and understanding needed to help create an inclusive and productive culture within the organization. Prior to joining Eos, Roma was Vice President & Head of International HR for MAN Energy Solutions. Before relocating to the USA, Roma was a Chief Financial Officer for MAN Energy Solutions Canada Ltd. She worked at MAN Energy Solutions for more than 15 years and held various positions in both HR and Finance. Roma holds a Master of Science in Strategic Human Resource Management from Saint Joseph’s University – Erivan K. Haub School of Business and a Bachelor’s in Accountancy and Auditing from Gujarat University in India. Not only does she provide counsel and support to her team to help them achieve strategic and operational goals, but she also leverages her extensive business acumen and strategic HR management knowledge to build strong relationships and encourage trust among all of Eos’ teams and departments.
Daniel Amezquita
Daniel Amezquita
A global leader with over 20 years of experience, Daniel Amezquita was named Eos Chief Operating Officer in February of 2023. Daniel’s past work in a variety of industries, including electronics, medical, metal, plastics, and energy, as well as his background in education have equipped him with the critical understanding and knowledge to improve KPIs and lead teams in exceeding customer expectations. Prior to joining Eos, Daniel served as a Global VP of Operational Excellence at GENERAC. He has held various leadership positions in Quality, Supply Chain, Operations and Lean, leading companies to high levels of Operational Excellence such as the Shingo prize recognition. He earned his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from the National University of Mexico and his MBA from SCSU in Minnesota. Daniel is a strategic and tactical leader with extensive business acumen that works well with all team members to achieve better-than-expected results by utilizing his training and education in continuous improvement/Lean.
Marshall Chapin
Marshall Chapin
As Chief Customer Officer, Marshall leads the Commercial, Projects, and Services teams, managing the full customer cycle to ensure that we offer a world-class end-to-end experience for our customers.
Marshall has over 25 years of experience leading companies focused on the global energy transition. Having served in go-to-market, operations, and strategy leadership roles at startups and public companies, Marshall possesses a unique perspective and passion for customer-centric growth. Prior to joining Eos, Marshall was a catalyst for the early cleantech movement, guiding EnerNOC’s marketing team through the company’s IPO in 2007 and serving as Vice President of Sales until the company was sold to Enel. He was Chief Revenue Officer at SYSO and at CIMCON Lighting (acquired by Quantela), Chief Strategy Officer at Sense, and Chief Operating Officer at Highland Pellets and Envision Schools.
Marshall holds an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and a BA from Kenyon College, where he was an NCAA All-American and was inducted into the Kenyon Athletic Association Hall of Fame. He believes that the success of sustainable battery technologies is critical to unlocking the energy transition and preserving the earth for generations to come.
Francis Richey
Francis Richey
After starting as a Senior Battery Scientist at Eos in 2015, Francis Richey held positions as product development manager and was named Vice President of R&D in December 2020. His vast knowledge of electrochemical engineering and passion for scaling technology from the lab to a commercial product has been integral for advancing and refining Eos Znyth™ battery technology and keeping the organization at the forefront of developing battery storage alternatives to lithium-ion. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University and a Ph.D. degree from Drexel University with a focus on Chemical and Electrochemical Engineering, Francis began his career as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Stanford University leading a collaborative research effort between UC Berkeley and Stanford to investigate corrosion mechanisms in aqueous Metal air batteries. He holds 7 patents, has publications in the Journal of the Electrochemical Society and Journal of American Chemical Society, and has presented at numerous electrochemical conferences on fuel cells, batteries, and capacitors. By advancing zinc-based battery technology and leading R&D efforts at Eos, Francis is a driving force for helping Eos change the way the world stores power.
Pranesh Rao
Pranesh Rao
Pranesh started at Eos as Vice President, Engineering Control Systems on July 11, 2022. Since then, he has been leading the development of the Gen 3.3 BMS and improvements to the Gen 2.3 BMS in support of field deployments. Prior to joining Eos, he was VP of Engineering at ESI Elevator Systems. He is a proven technical leader with an extensive background in Controls focused on electrical systems. He previously served as Sr. Director, Electronics and Software for Nidec Motor Corporation and led the grid controls development for A123 Energy Solutions, a Li-ion battery manufacturer. Pranesh holds an M.S.in Electrical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from B.M.S. College of Engineering, India.
