First advance under second tranche brings total drawn under the DOE facility to $178 million and supports 4 GWh of annual battery manufacturing capacity in Western Pennsylvania

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: EOSE) (“Eos” or the “Company”), America’s leading innovator in designing, manufacturing, and providing zinc-based long-duration energy storage (LDES) systems sourced and manufactured in the United States, today announced it has received an $87 million first advance under the second tranche of its loan agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF).

The advance reimburses 80% of eligible costs associated with the Company’s Thorn Hill manufacturing facility in Warrendale, Pennsylvania. Eos has now drawn a total of approximately $178 million of its DOE facility since 2024.

Line 2 entered commercial production in June 2026 and is being ramped toward its designed annual manufacturing capacity of approximately 2 GWh. Upon completion of the planned relocation of line 1 to Thorn Hill, subject to lender approvals, Eos expects Thorn Hill to support approximately 4 GWh of annual manufacturing capacity across two lines.

“Loan funding from the Office of Energy Dominance Financing has been critical in scaling Eos,” said Alessandro Lagi, Chief Financial Officer of Eos. “This advance reimburses a significant portion of the investment we have already made in Line 2 and returns that capital to the balance sheet, giving us more room to invest in the business while maintaining a disciplined approach to growth.”

“Running two lines under one roof drives more efficient use of our engineering, support resources, and labor,” said John Mahaz, Chief Operating Officer of Eos. “This enables the operation to increase productivity and optimize manufacturing cost.”

Eos expects to create jobs across 4 shifts to staff Line 2 in the Western Pennsylvania facility. The line continues to ramp toward full production as additional shifts come online, consistent with the Company’s phased manufacturing scale-up strategy.

The collaboration pairs utility-scale solar with lithium-ion energy storage and American-made, zinc-based long-duration energy storage to deliver new clean energy and capacity to the PJM grid

NEW YORK and PITTSBURGH, Sept. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — MN8 Energy (MN8), a scaled power platform, Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: EOSE), a U.S. manufacturer of zinc-based long-duration energy storage systems, and Google, today announced a collaboration to deliver new, clean, around-the-clock energy resources to the PJM grid in support of growing demand in the region.

Owned and operated by MN8, the project combines 86 MW of utility-scale solar, 10 MW/100 MWh of Eos’ Z3™ zinc-based long-duration energy storage, and 70 MW/280 MWh of lithium-ion energy storage. The integrated portfolio adds new clean, dispatchable capacity to the grid serving Google’s data centers in the region, including a planned project in West Virginia. The solar project is expected to reach commercial operation in 2028, with lithium-ion storage and long-duration storage following in 2029 and 2030, respectively.

An Innovative Capacity Solution

MN8 custom-designed its Mammoth Solar project in Kanawha County, West Virginia as an integrated utility-scale solar system with short- and long-duration storage that converts intermittent renewable generation into a single, dispatchable resource. The multi-technology solution fills a critical grid need by delivering clean capacity matched to data center load profiles. It’s the first commercial-scale long-duration energy storage deployment in West Virginia.

“At Google, we’re committed to backing solutions that both serve our data center capacity needs and accelerate progress toward cleaner, more affordable energy systems,” said Lucia Tian, Director, Advanced Energy Technologies at Google. “This collaboration with MN8 and Eos aims to deploy a smart portfolio of round-the-clock technology solutions to help power our digital infrastructure, while creating meaningful economic benefits for West Virginia.”

Under the agreement, Google will purchase the energy, capacity, and clean energy attributes of the project, advancing the company’s commitment to bring new capacity to the grids where it operates. The project is part of Google’s broader efforts to accelerate LDES technology commercialization with the aim to rapidly bring its potential to communities everywhere — making reliable, affordable electricity available around the clock and supporting the resilience of grids as they integrate growing amounts of renewable energy sources.

“This project reflects what MN8 does best: understanding a customer’s unique energy profile and building a solution around it,” said Jon Yoder, President and CEO of MN8 Energy. “Because Google was willing to pair next-generation storage with utility-scale solar, we could engineer proven and emerging technologies into one dispatchable resource – and deliver clean, around-the-clock power where the grid needs it most.”

Deploying American-made Long-Duration Energy Storage

The project marks Google’s first project that uses Eos’ American-made Z3 technology and the first project under the previously announced MN8-Eos Master Supply Agreement. The 10 MW/100 MWh system is designed to provide 10 hours of storage, extending the availability of solar generation beyond the shorter-duration energy storage resources and enabling the combined portfolio to deliver dependable capacity across more hours of the day. This project will prove how Eos’ aqueous zinc chemistry can support critical grid infrastructure.

“The grid needs more from every megawatt of new generation,” said Nathan Kroeker, Chief Commercial Officer at Eos. “Our work with Google is focused on deploying American-made long-duration storage where it solves real grid reliability challenges. Z3 extends the value of clean generation across more hours, strengthens the overall portfolio, and delivers more dependable capacity when it’s needed most.”

Creating Economic Benefits in West Virginia and Across the Region

Built on a reclaimed coal mine in West Virginia, this project is expected to create economic opportunity in a community with a long energy history. Based on MN8’s estimates, it represents up to $350 million in capital investment and is expected to generate approximately $4 million in property tax revenue for the county and local schools over the first 20 years of operations, with millions more in the 15-20 years that follow. Construction is expected to create approximately 200 jobs, with additional full- and part-time roles supporting the project throughout its operating life.

The project’s impact also extends across the PJM interconnection, connecting new energy infrastructure in West Virginia with American manufacturing and regional innovation. MN8 and Eos maintain significant operations and workforces across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, from MN8 projects spanning the region to Eos headquarters and manufacturing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Together, the companies support domestic supply chains and regional economies.

Move completes the Pittsburgh manufacturing plan outlined on the Company’s second quarter earnings call and is contemplated within current full year revenue guidance

Company expects to offer each of the approximately 250 impacted employees a role at Thorn Hill, Building 200 or corporate offices

Turtle Creek remains an active Eos site, with Cube assembly, testing and shipping continuing in Building 200

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: EOSE) (“Eos” or the “Company”), an innovator in designing, manufacturing and providing zinc-based long-duration energy storage (LDES) systems sourced and manufactured in the United States, today announced it will consolidate its battery manufacturing operations at Thorn Hill, its 432,000-square-foot production facility in Warrendale, Pa. Cube assembly, testing and shipping will continue at the Company’s Turtle Creek, Pa. location.

Eos began commercial production at Thorn Hill in June 2026, less than six months after entering the facility. Consolidating all battery manufacturing into a single site shortens material flow, improves production processes and manufacturing efficiencies. When completed, the Company expects the consolidation to reduce conversion costs by approximately 10% to 15%, with benefits beginning in 2027. Once both lines are operating, Thorn Hill nameplate capacity is expected to be approximately 4 GWh.

The Company discussed the consolidation on its second quarter earnings call on August 5, 2026. As disclosed at that time, the Company’s full-year 2026 revenue guidance was $300 million to $350 million, and the anticipated transition and its associated costs were contemplated within that guidance. The Company currently expects to manage the transition without any impact on customer delivery commitments.

“We built our manufacturing foundation in Turtle Creek, and we have outgrown the footprint we started with. Bringing battery manufacturing together at Thorn Hill gives us the space and capacity we need for the next phase of growth while keeping jobs, investment and opportunity right here in Allegheny County,” said Joe Mastrangelo, Chief Executive Officer. “We are now moving forward with the plan described to investors in August, subject to required approvals.”

Commitment to Employees and Community
The Company is providing each of the approximately 250 impacted employees, including approximately 205 union-represented employees, with an employment opportunity or work-location assignment at Thorn Hill, Building 200 or the Company’s corporate offices, subject, for represented employees, to applicable collective bargaining obligations and the employee-placement process being conducted with the United Steelworkers (USW).

“Turtle Creek is where this company started, and we remain committed to that community,” said Michelle Buczkowski, Chief Commercial Officer. “Every employee impacted by this move will have a job offer or a location assignment waiting for them. The Commonwealth and the County worked alongside us to find a path that kept manufacturing and jobs in Allegheny County. That kind of partnership is a big reason Southwestern Pennsylvania is where Eos continues to grow.”

The move is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 and be completed in early 2027, subject to customary lender approvals.

Capacity and Cost
Thorn Hill provides the floor space, power, and structural requirements needed to support multiple production lines. Running lines in a consolidated footprint improves production output per square foot, simplifies material handling, and increases overhead utilization.

“With the validation and continued ramp of Line 2 at Thorn Hill, we’re ready to execute the next phase of our manufacturing plan with the relocation of Line 1,” said John Mahaz, Chief Operating Officer. “We have already established production capability at Thorn Hill before contemplating the line move from Turtle Creek. That allows us to carefully sequence the move to maintain production volumes and protect customer delivery commitments.”

American Battery Manufacturing Growing in Pittsburgh
Earlier this year, Eos relocated its corporate headquarters to Nova Place on Pittsburgh’s North Shore and began production at Thorn Hill. After outgrowing its original manufacturing footprint in Turtle Creek, the Company conducted a national search and chose to continue investing in Allegheny County. As part of this transition, battery manufacturing operations currently housed in Building 700 will relocate to Thorn Hill. Building 200 will remain operational and continue supporting Cube production.

The Eos Z3™ battery uses a zinc-based, non-flammable chemistry that stores energy for four to 16-plus hours. It is designed, built and shipped from Pittsburgh, with approximately 91% domestic content and a predominantly U.S.-based supply chain.

Nathan Kroeker to depart following transition period

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 25, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: EOSE) (“Eos” or the “Company”), America’s leading innovator in designing, manufacturing, and providing zinc-based long-duration energy storage (LDES) systems sourced and manufactured in the United States, today announced the appointment of Michelle Buczkowski as Chief Commercial Officer, effective August 24, 2026. Buczkowski succeeds Nathan Kroeker, who will leave the Company on October 20, 2026, following a planned transition period.

Federal, state, and local energy policy influences every commercial conversation. A customer evaluating a storage project weighs incentives alongside price and delivery. Sales, business development, government affairs, marketing, and communications now report to Buczkowski, who owns the path from first customer engagement through order intake and revenue conversion.

Buczkowski has served as Chief Administrative Officer since November 2025, leading government affairs, marketing, communications, and human resources. She secured the $24 million Pennsylvania grant behind the Company’s manufacturing expansion, built the workforce pipeline that staffs it, and led the engagement that positioned Eos for selection into the Golden Dome program. The utility, regulator, and agency relationships she built sit behind a meaningful share of the Company’s commercial pipeline.

Buczkowski brings over 20 years of energy-sector leadership to the position. Prior to joining Eos, she held leadership roles at Duquesne Light Company and Consol Energy/CNX Resources, working with utilities, regulators, and agencies across regulated utility and energy production businesses.

“Michelle turns relationships into results,” said Joe Mastrangelo, Chief Executive Officer of Eos. “She secured the state support behind our factory, built the team that staffs it, and opened the federal channel that led to our Department of War partnership. I also want to thank Nathan Kroeker, who strengthened our balance sheet when it mattered most and hands over a commercial organization built to deliver.”

“Eos sits where energy security, domestic manufacturing, and grid demand meet,” said Buczkowski. “Utilities and data center developers are asking for storage they can site and service in the United States, and federal policy is pointed the same way. My job is converting that into orders, revenue, and customer relationships that last. We have the technology, the factory, and the team. The work ahead is execution.”

Leadership Transition

Kroeker joined Eos in January 2023 as Chief Financial Officer and became Chief Commercial Officer in 2025. As Chief Financial Officer, he led the financing work that secured over $2 billion in capital and financing commitments, including the Cerberus Delayed Draw Term Loan and the Department of Energy Loan Guarantee, re-capitalizing the business and strengthening the balance sheet through the Company’s manufacturing scale-up. As Chief Commercial Officer, he expanded engagement with developers, utilities, hyperscalers, and strategic partners and grew the Company’s order backlog and opportunity pipeline.

“It has been a privilege to be part of Eos as we’ve positioned the Company to capture the market opportunity, and deliver on its growth plans,” said Kroeker. “I am proud of what this team has built and confident in where it is going. Eos has the foundation, the customers, and the leadership to execute on what is ahead. I have had the pleasure of working alongside Michelle for the past 2 years and I’m confident that she is the right person to lead the Commercial organization going forward.”

Buczkowski and Kroeker will work together through October 20, 2026, to complete the transition.

Recent Business Highlights

Frontier Power USA

FPUSA exceeded its initial $250 million equity target, with approximately $263 million of gross proceeds raised from Eos, Cerberus Capital Management, and Hudson Bay Capital Management. With Eos’ Rights Offering now complete, the platform has secured the equity needed to advance its next phase of growth. These commitments, including the gross proceeds of the Rights Offering, are dedicated to FPUSA and will be used to fund project development at the joint venture. FPUSA is expected to have access to more than $1 billion of deployable project capital and has established a development pipeline totaling approximately 16 GWh. Approximately 5.0 GWh of projects have been acquired, selected, or are under active diligence, including approximately 1.8 GWh that are under construction or approaching notice to proceed.

In anticipation of the formation of FPUSA, Eos generated $55.0 million of revenue in the second quarter from a pre-existing project executed using financing provided by an affiliate of Cerberus prior to the closing of the joint venture. The project contributed approximately 80% of total second quarter revenue and was contributed to FPUSA upon closing, which occurred on August 4, 2026. As of June 30, 2026, this project and FPUSA represented 49% of Eos’ backlog volume.

Commercial Momentum
Commercial momentum remained strong during and after the quarter. Backlog increased to a record $807 million, up 25% sequentially and 20% year over year, driven by orders from four new customers and two repeat customers. During the quarter, Eos received the first purchase order supporting the 100 MW / 400 MWh Redbird project. Upon FPUSA closing on August 4, 2026, this purchase order was transferred to FPUSA, where it became part of the parties’ 2 GWh Capacity Reservation Agreement.

Eos also expanded its international presence through a binding Master Supply Agreement with CAPAC Energy, establishing an exclusive distribution partnership across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with an initial 750 MWh commitment and the potential to scale to 2 GWh through 2031.

Subsequent to quarter end, Eos announced a strategic partnership with the Department of War and was awarded a contract supporting the Golden Dome for America initiative to deploy its Eos Z3™ zinc-based long-duration energy storage technology at a critical defense installation. The Company also received a $100 million purchase order from FPUSA for Phase I of the Blanquilla project. These milestones reflect continued commercial execution, expanding market opportunities, and growing demand for Eos’ safe, American-made energy storage technology, further strengthening the Company’s long-term growth outlook.

Launch of Commercial Production at Eos’ New Thorn Hill Facility
Eos launched commercial production on Battery Line 2 at its Thorn Hill facility in mid-June, on schedule and in line with prior expectations, expanding manufacturing capacity to support growing customer demand. The Company is currently operating one partial production shift as part of its planned ramp strategy and remains on track to reach full production capacity in the fourth quarter. During the quarter, Eos completed Site Acceptance Testing and commissioning across all sub-assembly operations, bringing the full automation online. Line 2 continues to demonstrate strong initial operational performance, with cycle times running approximately 10% faster on the battery line and 11% faster on the bipolar line compared to Line 1, reflecting continued improvements in manufacturing efficiency and throughput.

The words “anticipate,” “believe,” “continue,” “could,” “estimate,” “expect,” “intend,” “may,” “might,” “plan,” “possible,” “potential,” “predict,” “project,” “should,” “would” and similar expressions may identify forward-looking statements, but the absence of these words does not mean that a statement is not forward-looking. Forward-looking statements are based on our management’s beliefs, as well as assumptions made by, and information currently available to, them. Because such statements are based on expectations as to future financial and operating results and are not statements of fact, actual results may differ materially from those projected.

Factors which may cause actual results to differ materially from current expectations include, but are not limited to: changes adversely affecting the business in which we are engaged; our ability to forecast trends accurately; our ability to generate cash, service indebtedness and incur additional indebtedness; our ability to raise financing in the future; our ability to obtain stockholder approval of an increase to our authorized common stock; risks associated with the joint venture, including the risk that the joint venture will not be completed on the anticipated timeline or terms, or at all, and risks associated with FPUSA’s ability to develop, finance, construct and monetize projects; risks associated with the credit agreement with Cerberus, including risks of default, and dilution of outstanding common stock; our customers’ ability to secure project financing; the amount of final tax credits available to our customers or to Eos pursuant to the Inflation Reduction Act, including potential impacts from any repeal or modifications of the legislation; the timing and availability of future funding under the Department of Energy Loan Facility; risks associated with the successful execution and expected benefits of any manufacturing consolidation initiatives; our ability to continue to develop efficient manufacturing processes to scale and to forecast related costs and efficiencies accurately; fluctuations in our revenue and operating results; competition from existing or new competitors; our ability to convert firm order backlog and pipeline to revenue; risks associated with security breaches in our information technology systems; risks related to legal proceedings or claims; risks associated with evolving energy policies in the United States and other countries and the potential costs of regulatory compliance; risks associated with changes to the U.S. trade environment; our ability to maintain the listing of our shares of common stock on NASDAQ; our ability to grow our business and manage growth profitably, maintain relationships with customers and suppliers and retain our management and key employees; risks related to adverse changes in general economic conditions, including inflationary pressures and increased interest rates; risk from supply chain disruptions and other impacts of geopolitical conflict; changes in applicable laws or regulations; the possibility that Eos may be adversely affected by other economic, business, and/or competitive factors; other factors beyond our control; and other risks and uncertainties indicated.

The forward-looking statements contained in this press release are also subject to additional risks, uncertainties, and factors, including those more fully described in the Company’s most recent filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”), including the Company’s most recent Annual Report on Form 10-K and subsequent reports on Forms 10-Q and 8-K. Further information on potential risks that could affect actual results will be included in the subsequent periodic and current reports and other filings that the Company makes with the Securities and Exchange Commission from time to time. Moreover, the Company operates in a very competitive and rapidly changing environment, and new risks and uncertainties may emerge that could have an impact on the forward-looking statements contained in this press release.

Forward-looking statements speak only as of the date they are made. Should one or more of these risks or uncertainties materialize or should any of our assumptions prove incorrect, actual results may vary in material respects from those projected in these forward-looking statements. Readers are cautioned not to put undue reliance on forward-looking statements, and, except as required by law, the Company assumes no obligation and does not intend to update or revise these forward-looking statements, whether as a result of new information, future events, or otherwise.

Key Metrics

Backlog. Our backlog represents the amount of revenue that we expect to realize from existing agreements with our customers for the sale of our battery energy storage systems and performance of services. The backlog is calculated by adding new orders in the current fiscal period to the backlog as of the end of the prior fiscal period and then subtracting the shipments in the current fiscal period. If the amount of an order is modified or cancelled, we adjust orders in the current period and our backlog accordingly, but do not retroactively adjust previously published backlogs. There is no comparable U.S. GAAP financial measure to backlog. We believe that the backlog is a useful indicator regarding the future revenue of our Company.

Pipeline. Our pipeline represents projects for which we have submitted technical proposals or non-binding quotes plus letters of intent (“LOI”) or firm commitments from customers. Pipeline does not include lead generation projects.

Booked Orders. Booked orders are orders where we have legally binding agreements with a Purchase Order (“PO”) or Master Supply Agreement (“MSA”) executed by both parties.

Non-GAAP Financial Measures
To provide investors with additional information regarding our financial results, we have disclosed in this earnings release non-GAAP financial measures, including adjusted EBITDA and adjusted gross profit (loss), which are non-GAAP financial measures as defined under the rules of the SEC. These non-GAAP financial measures should be considered supplemental to, and not a substitute for or superior to, the financial measures of the Company’s calculated in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”). The Company believes adjusted EBITDA and adjusted gross profit (loss) are useful measures in evaluating its financial and operational performance distinct and apart from financing costs, certain non-cash expenses and non-operational expenses.

We believe that non-GAAP financial information, when taken collectively, may be helpful to our investors in assessing our operating performance. There are a number of limitations related to the use of these non-GAAP financial measures and their nearest GAAP equivalents. For example, the Company’s definitions of non-GAAP financial measures may differ from non-GAAP financial measures used by other companies. Below is a description of the non-GAAP financial information included herein as well as reconciliations to its most directly comparable GAAP measure. You should review the reconciliations below but not rely on any single financial measure to evaluate our business.

Adjusted EBITDA is defined as earnings (net loss) attributable to Eos adjusted for interest expense, income tax, depreciation and amortization, non-cash stock-based compensation expense, change in fair value of debt and derivatives, debt extinguishment, and other non-cash or non-recurring items as determined by management which it does not believe to be indicative of its underlying business trends. Adjusted gross profit (loss) is defined as gross profit (loss) adjusted to exclude stock-based compensation, depreciation and amortization.

Approximately $263 million of gross equity raised in support of FPUSA

Expected investment, together with approximately 75% loan-to-value project debt, is expected to support more than $1 billion of deployable project capital

FPUSA has approximately 16 GWh of pipeline opportunities with approximately 1.8 GWh under construction or expected to shortly reach notice to proceed

PITTSBURGH, Pa., July 23, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: EOSE) (“Eos” or the “Company”), America’s leading innovator in designing, manufacturing, and providing zinc-based long duration energy storage (LDES) systems sourced and manufactured in the United States, today announced the expected initial capitalization of Frontier Power USA (“FPUSA”), the Company’s joint venture with Cerberus Capital Management established to develop, finance, own and operate long-duration energy storage projects utilizing Eos technology.

The expected initial capitalization includes proceeds from Eos’ rights offering, which expired on July 21, 2026 and raised gross proceeds of approximately $37.7 million as well as its previously announced equity offering. The rights offering enabled holders of its common stock and holders of its warrants to purchase common stock issued on April 14, 2023, May 17, 2023, December 19, 2023 and November 21, 2025 as of 5:00 pm New York time on July 1, 2026, to participate on a pro rata basis. By aligning institutional capital with existing stockholders, Eos broadened participation while establishing the equity foundation necessary to launch FPUSA at scale.

“When we announced Frontier Power USA, we set a target of approximately $250 million in equity raised to capitalize the platform,” said Joe Mastrangelo, Eos Chief Executive Officer. “Today that target is expected to be exceeded, funded through our rights offering and commitments from Hudson Bay Capital and Cerberus Capital Management. I exercised my rights in this offering, along with other members of our Board and management team, because we believe this capital structure positions Eos for sustained growth and long-term shareholder value.”

With the completion of the rights offering, Eos has secured the capital necessary to fund its investment in FPUSA which, together with the previously announced investment from Hudson Bay Capital Management and the commitment from Cerberus Capital Management results in an expected gross proceeds raised above the approximately $250 million aggregate equity target established when the joint venture was first announced. FPUSA is expected to have approximately $263 million of gross proceeds raised from three holders: approximately $113 million from Eos through its rights offering and previously announced offering, $100 million from Cerberus Capital Management, and $50 million from Hudson Bay. Along with a broad financing package expected to be available to FPUSA, this equity base is expected to support more than $1 billion of deployable project capital.

Project financing has historically favored incumbent technologies with decades of operating history and established lending markets. FPUSA addresses that barrier directly. The platform provides the capital and ownership structure needed to move Eos technology from late-stage development into construction and operation at scale.

FPUSA has a pipeline totaling approximately 16 GWh of opportunities. Approximately 5.0 GWh has been purchased, selected or is under active diligence for inclusion within the platform, including approximately 1.8 GWh purchased or selected that are under construction or approaching notice to proceed. These projects are expected to support equipment deliveries and project revenue through 2026 and into 2027, while establishing the foundation for future deployment.

Upon closing, FPUSA is expected to fund project development, equipment procurement, construction and long-term ownership of energy storage assets utilizing Eos technology. The initial capitalization is expected to close in early August, subject to customary closing conditions.

PITTSBURGH, July 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: EOSE) (“Eos” or the “Company”), America’s leading innovator in designing, manufacturing, and providing zinc-based long-duration energy storage (LDES) systems sourced and manufactured in the United States, today announced a strategic partnership with the Department of War to enhance the resilience of national defense infrastructure. Eos was awarded a Golden Dome for America contract to integrate mission-ready long-duration energy storage supporting requirements of the nation’s defense shield.

The award was highlighted by President Donald Trump during Senator Dave McCormick’s Defense and National Security Summit in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on July 15, 2026.

“Eos in Pittsburgh just agreed to a multi-million-dollar partnership with the Department of War to build energy storage technology in support of our Golden Dome missile defense. Yeah we’re building a golden dome over our country and its going to be a very effective one,” said President Donald J. Trump.

Under the initiative, Eos’ Z3™ zinc-based long-duration energy storage technology will first be deployed as an initial prototype at a critical installation. The Z3 system is designed to secure power infrastructure and strengthen mission readiness through resilient, long-duration power. The initial deployment will demonstrate the value of American-made long-duration energy storage for national security applications. The program is structured to scale as national defense needs evolve.

“This award validates the strategy we’ve built around American technology innovation, manufacturing and supply chains,” said Joe Mastrangelo, Eos Chief Executive Officer. “Today, we’re proving that America can still manufacture advanced technology at scale and deliver for our nation’s most critical missions.”

Manufactured and assembled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Eos’ proprietary technology combines a non-flammable aqueous zinc chemistry with approximately 91% domestic content and a predominantly U.S.-based supply chain. The system is Section 842 NDAA- and FEOC-compliant, built around reliable performance, trusted manufacturing and secure sourcing.

“We spent the last year building the relationships, compliance foundation and technical proof points the Department of War requires,” said Michelle Buczkowski, Eos Chief Administration Officer. “This award reflects that work. Eos is ready to deliver for the Department’s mission at scale.”

As the United States strengthens the resilience of its defense and critical infrastructure, reliable power has become a strategic capability. Long-duration energy storage enables facilities to maintain operational readiness, enhances energy security and provides the flexibility needed to support missions where uninterrupted power is essential. The selection of a commercially available American technology for this initiative reflects the growing role advanced energy storage can play in supporting national preparedness.

“The Golden Dome should be built on American technology. Eos’ technology will help secure the power infrastructure our military depends on, while creating good jobs right here in Pennsylvania,” said Senator Dave McCormick.

Eos is rapidly expanding domestic manufacturing capacity through its state-of-the-art Thorn Hill facility in the Pittsburgh region. With Eos’ second battery line now in commercial production, Thorn Hill serves as the cornerstone of the Company’s next phase of growth, adding automated manufacturing capacity for the Z3 platform and creating a scalable, repeatable foundation as Eos works toward 8 gigawatt-hours of annual production capacity in Allegheny County. The facility further strengthens Eos’ domestic supply chain, advances American energy independence and supports the Company’s commitment to create 1,000 high-quality jobs across the region.
