Partnership aims to support the UK’s clean energy transition with the potential to unlock local manufacturing and strengthen energy infrastructure

EDISON, N.J. and WARWICKSHIRE, United Kingdom, April 15, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: EOSE) (“Eos” or the “Company”), America’s leading innovator in designing, manufacturing, and providing zinc-based long duration energy storage systems sourced and manufactured in the United States, today announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Frontier Power Ltd. (“Frontier”), a UK-based energy developer, for a 5 GWh energy storage framework agreement. The agreement marks Eos’ entrance into a new international market and supports Frontier’s plans to submit multiple bids utilizing Eos’ Znyth™ battery technology in the first application window of Ofgem’s new long-duration energy storage (LDES) cap and floor scheme.

“We are proud to partner with Frontier Power, a respected leader in UK energy development, to bring Eos’ safe and recyclable storage technology to a new market,” said Justin Vagnozzi, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Eos Energy Enterprises. “The novel cap and floor scheme incentivizes investments in long-duration storage technologies that are critical for grid stability and renewable integration. Our participation in this scheme with an established global supply partner like Frontier furthers our commitment to scale our operations, expand our market reach and encourage the adoption of alternative technologies for the energy storage market.”

Under the agreement, Eos and Frontier will also look to expand the collaboration globally to new international markets. This partnership also opens the door to developing local manufacturing in the UK. Should significant LDES project volumes materialize using Eos technology, it could incentivize the establishment of manufacturing operations in the UK, supporting domestic supply chains and job creation.

“Our supply chain strategy was designed to be transportable,” said Joe Mastrangelo, Eos Chief Executive Officer. “We can co-locate manufacturing capacity near customer demand and not only provide innovative energy storage, but sustainable jobs in regions that have demand for our technology. As that demand grows, both domestically and internationally, we’ll expand our manufacturing footprint, and we’re excited to partner with Frontier to execute on that vision in the UK market and beyond.”

“This agreement reflects Frontier Power’s commitment to driving innovation in clean energy while fostering international collaboration,” said Humza Malik, Frontier Power Chief Executive Officer. “By working with Eos, we are advancing our portfolio of long-duration storage projects and strengthening trade relations between the US and UK. The prospect of local manufacturing in the UK could further boost economic growth and job creation.”

The UK’s cap and floor scheme, administered by Ofgem and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, is designed to provide long-term revenue certainty for innovative energy storage technologies and help incentivize investment in alternative technologies to lithium-ion in the UK market. Eos’ eight-hour technology is well suited for the program, which supports the UK’s broader goals of achieving grid stability and enables higher levels of renewable integration.

This agreement will be incremental to Eos’ pipeline numbers as of March 31, 2025 when the Company reports first quarter 2025 results.

Successfully achieves all operational milestones that guarantees final $40.5 million under $210.5 million Term Loan to further solidify position as a leader in American energy storage systems

TURTLE CREEK, Pa., Jan. 27, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: EOSE) (“Eos” or the “Company”), America’s leading innovator in designing, manufacturing, and providing zinc-based long duration energy storage systems sourced and manufactured in the United States, today announced the successful achievement of the third set of performance milestones previously agreed upon between Eos and an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management LP (“Cerberus”) as part of Cerberus’s strategic investment in the Company. Successfully meeting these performance milestones allowed the Company to access the final $40.5 million of the Delayed Draw Term Loan (DDTL), fueling ongoing operations, U.S. production expansion, and the creation of an American energy storage powerhouse.

“The Eos team is making measurable progress, consistently meeting critical operational targets and positioning the Company for profitable growth,” said Nathan Kroeker, Eos Chief Financial Officer. “With the term loan fully funded, combined with Department of Energy (DOE) loan guarantee first disbursement in December, Eos has a strong foundation and sufficient capital to continue implementing Project AMAZE. We’re executing our strategy to scale production into strong customer demand for long duration energy storage. Cash from customer projects now play an important role in funding working capital and our American-made system can play a critical role in America achieving energy independence.”

The $210.5 million DDTL announced in June 2024 is now fully funded, driven by the Company consistently achieving key operational milestones related to the Company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing line, raw materials cost-out, Z3 technology performance improvement and orders backlog cash conversion. The Company surpassed its January raw materials cost-out target by 6% while delivering manufacturing cycle times below 10 seconds to further demonstrate continued operational efficiency and progress towards profitable growth.

“Cerberus is ecstatic about the incredible progress made since our initial investment last year. Joe and team continue to fire on all cylinders, and Cerberus will continue to be all-in, helping Eos execute on their rapidly growing global pipeline and backlog,” said Nick Robinson, Cerberus Senior Managing Director and Eos Board Member. “With all the pieces now firmly in place to scale, 2025 and beyond is all about revenue growth, profitability and acceleration of global manufacturing capacity to meet exponential global demand. This demand is driven by a critical need for a long duration, non-flammable alternative to lithium at a time when the national security imperative could not be more important. With President Trump’s recent Executive Order, emphasizing American-made, and American-sourced, manufacturing to supporting America’s energy independence, Cerberus could not be more excited about partnering with Eos to build a large global platform. Cerberus views Eos as the “First Solar” of the battery space, further highlighting America’s ability to lead, innovate, and reclaim our energy independence.”

Surging demand drives Company to expand and accelerate manufacturing footprint for zinc-based energy storage in the United States

EDISON, N.J., Dec. 20, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: EOSE) (“Eos” or the “Company”), America’s leading innovator in the design, sourcing, and manufacturing of zinc-based long duration energy storage (LDES) systems, manufactured in the United States, today announced its search for a new manufacturing facility in addition to the Mon Valley Works expansion under Project AMAZE. This expansion is part of the Company’s broader strategy to scale up its operations to meet the rapidly growing demand for renewable energy solutions and to further its commitment to American manufacturing and energy independence.

As the Company finalizes the procurement, construction, and implementation timeline to bring line 2 into full operation, Eos is simultaneously beginning to search for an additional factory location outside the Mon Valley. The new facility, currently known as Factory 2 Works, is expected to be instrumental in supporting Eos’ mission to provide safe, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly energy storage. With the growing use of renewable energy sources like wind and solar, coupled with increasing demand from data centers, there is a rising need for reliable, long duration energy storage systems to stabilize the grid and ensure that energy is available when needed. Factory 2 Works would be incremental to the manufacturing capacity expected from the Mon Valley Works under Project AMAZE.

“We’re excited to find the next home for America’s battery, where we can improve our global competitiveness, continue to create long-term job opportunities and position Eos as a leader in American-made energy storage,” said Joe Mastrangelo, Eos Chief Executive Officer. “We’re seeing an unprecedented surge in demand for energy storage solutions, with more operators seeking American-made technology, making it critical for us to stay ahead of the demand curve. The simplicity and scalability of our manufacturing operations allow us to quickly replicate production lines and position our facilities closer to customer demand, ultimately reducing logistics costs and improving efficiency.”

As part of the strategy, the search for a site outside the Mon Valley Works will focus on regions with strong infrastructure close to customer demand, access to skilled labor, and economic incentives that align with Eos’ values of clean energy innovation and American-made manufacturing. Eos expects the new facility to generate hundreds of new jobs, contribute to local economic development and strengthen the nation’s energy security and independence.

Eos’ zinc-based technology offers a safe, secure, and cost-effective solution to these energy storage challenges. The Company’s systems are designed to provide long-duration storage capabilities, essential for grid stability, utility-scale and behind the meter applications, and commercial and industrial use.

This announcement comes on the heels of the Company having secured 616 MWh in new customer orders, an announced partnership with FlexGen to address a preliminary 50 GWh market opportunity and its $68.3 million first loan advance under its $303.5 million Title 17 loan guarantee from the United States Department of Energy, coming 23 days after loan closing.

Order culminates several years of successful collaboration and joint development work with International Electric Power and California Energy Commission

EDISON, N.J., Dec. 18, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: EOSE) (“Eos” or the “Company”), America’s leading innovator in the design, sourcing, and manufacturing of zinc-based long duration energy storage (LDES) systems, manufactured in the United States, today announced a 400 MWh standalone storage order with International Electric Power (“IEP”). This marks the second agreement and third project with IEP, a leading developer in the energy space deploying multiple technologies, and builds on Eos’ successful prior delivery of its battery systems to a Texas-based IEP project earlier this year.

The project, partially funded by the California Energy Commission’s (CEC) Long Duration Energy Storage Program, is set to be deployed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in San Diego County with expected delivery to begin in 2025. This order, which is structured with a down payment, represents a significant milestone in the continued commitment to enhance grid resiliency and advance sustainable energy solutions within California.

“Our partnerships with IEP and the CEC are instrumental as we continue to scale and commercialize our Eos Z3™ batteries,” said Justin Vagnozzi, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Eos Energy. “We are excited to play an important role in not only bringing utility-scale battery storage to Southern California, but also delivering critical resilience to the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps at a site that is vital to the United States’ national defense.”

“IEP and CEC are at the forefront of North American long-duration energy storage, and their partnership has been invaluable as Eos transitions into a profitable operating company. They recognize the need for multiple storage technologies and the energy security that an American made product provides,” added Joe Mastrangelo, Eos Chief Executive Officer. “It’s an honor to have been selected for such an important installation at Camp Pendleton.”

The project will be powered by Eos Z3™ Cubes, which are safe, non-flammable, and do not require cooling systems, resulting in reduced noise and lower operations costs. Eos continues to ramp up Z3 production on its newly commissioned state-of-the-art manufacturing line in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, supported by its predominantly U.S. supply chain.

“Eos’ battery technology has been pivotal in our efforts to bring reliable, long-duration energy storage to market,” added Peter Dailey, CEO of International Electric Power. “We’re thrilled to continue to grow our partnership with Eos to meet our energy storage needs and look forward to provide the base with American technology and state of the art energy security.”

This follows the recent 216 MWh order with City Utilities, showcasing Eos’ growing presence in the energy storage market.
